Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive 2025 – a Big Success!
Food collected on May 10th at the 33nd Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive totaled ~5,000 pounds - an increase of >200% from 2024. We’re seeing Pre-Ian numbers again. The Pine Island Food Pantry (pineislandfoodpantry.org) greatly appreciates everyone’s generous support – including the postal service workers, volunteers, and donors. A special thanks goes out to the Matlacha Hookers (matlachahookers.org), who worked tirelessly collecting and sorting food alongside the food pantry volunteers. It takes the involvement of the whole community to succeed, and we did just that. This food will help feed families “in need” during our off-season months enabling us to support our mission of “No One Goes Hungry” on Pine Island.
